Bespoke joinery for New Globe Walk Penthouse
Because of the location of this project and the vistas afforded, overlooking The Globe Theatre on one elevation and St Paul's and the City of London on the other, it was necessary to fully explore multiple solutions with the architect, initially "mock building" the space for approval prior to construction.
The project consisted of the connection of two apartments and creation of the mezzanine floor by way of structural alteration. Cantilevered staircases and stainless steel and glass balustrades were installed linking the spaces. Vertical patent glazed screens were installed separating the spaces.
This apartments palette of materials centered on four key elements, new white plastered ceilings and walls creating clean lines, oak floors, bespoke cherry cabinetry and general joinery, travertine marble and glass to maximise the potential of the spaces.
