Studying Carpentry, Joinery and design at Hackney College of Building in parallel with completing a NJAB 4 year apprenticeship and graduating with distinction, it is clear that joinery, interior fit out and design is something Doyle understands. A decade was spend gaining experience of production and design drawing, contract/construction/project management and quantity surveying at market leaders Courtney Pope Holdings and Fredereck Sage and Co. Ltd.
Commissioned by Charles Barrett Interiors PCL, in 1991, in the wake of the mortar attack on Downing Street to head up “Project Thistle”, the cabinet and Scottish office rebuild and security works during the summer recess of that year. This lead to nine successful years at the company, heading up the security and bespoke retail side of the business culminating in being made a board director in 1995. Doyle resigned as director of CBI in 1999 and formed Preferred Contracts Ltd, the business has gone from strength to strength and has built up a significant presence within the retail, commercial and residential markets.
